Fair accommodations

Ecologically responsible & socially aware.

We aim for working exclusively with locally based businesses and locals. Guests who book a tour with Go Indo stay in hotels, guest houses and bungalows owned by local Floresians. Our locally selected accommodations guarantee you a clean, pleasant stay in authentic atmospheres. Activities during your tour with Go Indo contribute to the local community. Go Indo aims to stimulate self-reliance of the local entrepreneurs by working together with them: Contributing to, often small but authentic, local-owned businesses by providing guests as well as by supporting their projects and ideas.

Supporting local families

Homestay Kampung is a welcoming and comfortable homestay located within the heart of a lovely neighbourhood in Ruteng. At 15 min. walking distance from Ruteng city center but far from the big city atmosphere! Homestay Kampung is being runned by a local family. Breakfast, lunch and diner is served straight from their garden to your plate and ‘Mama Osi’ and the other aunties are happy to share their knowledge with you. Learn how to make coffee (again, from the garden to your cup!), local crafts, join a cooking class or simply mingle with the local people of Ruteng.

Sleep in a traditional village

Eager to learn even more about the local way of life? Go Indo offers travellers the opportunity to stay in a traditional, sacred village in the Ngada regency of Flores. Located high up in the mountains, and with a majestic view, this experience truly is one of a kind.

      Go Indo’s social work

      Thanks to your contribution!

In August 2018, the island of Lombok was hit by massive earthquakes. Go Indo set up a successful fundraising campaign, via Dutch social media. Our team was able to provide isolated villages with necessary basic resources such as medicines, water, food, blankets, school materials and more. In total we went out with a fully loaded truck 8 times. Our team personally delivered the resources by truck, and when the infrastructure was too damaged, we continued by motorbike. Go Indo's team also handed out water purification buckets to villages to overcome the drinking water scarcity at that time. For the children, Go Indo organized a local trauma team consisting of nurses, social workers and an animation team to brighten up their spirits. The fundraising has already ended.

        Fair verblijf

        Ecologisch verantwoord & maatschappelijk bewust.

Go Indo reserveert kamers in Udin’s homestay wanneer gasten Moni en Kelimutu bezoeken.

        English class

Go Indo's team organises weekly English courses in kampung Nekang, Ruteng. Because of Go Indo's support, the kids have access to educational toys, learning and teaching materials. Homestay Kampung offers a safe teaching space & healthy snacks for the kids. For the youngest kids the English courses focus on learning through playful lessons. This way the kids experience learning as a fun thing to do! For older children, the lessons aim at increasing self-confidence in speaking English. If in Ruteng, it's possible to join the teachers during the English course.
